The Chronicles of Vaeldom are not rigid, sterilised copy-and-paste stories. What began as an exercise in healing my shadows has evolved into a living world of light, love, music and, of course, magic — and that world needs a diverse spectrum to survive. Spread across 15 Quests and 7 Canonical Places, these challenges invite you into the story itself. Walk the road, complete a Quest, and you may find your unique frequency canonised in Vaeldom forevermore.

Who are the core characters?

The Divine-Spectrum

Below are the main party companions who first walked the roads of Vaeldom and will take us through the series as it develops. Their Votums. Their struggles. Their truth. Each will grow and evolve with you. In Book 2, I'll be adding a cameo party who will interact with the core party and temporarily join their ranks. If you win a place from one of the quests, I'll work with you to craft a character, backstory and your hopes for the character within Vaeldom.

The Violet Frequency | Echo of Balance

Ruimieà (Ruimi)

"I Votum: to walk our roads together as Kith and Kin, Forevermore." Don't let his quiet, breathless anxiety fool you; twenty-six-year-old Ruimi is the absolute gravitational centre of the party. Wielding the ancient, crystal-cored Cothán-Staff, his mind naturally operates in a fast-paced, overstimulated Violet Kaleidoscope of racing thoughts. While the world might label his hyper-vigilance a deficit, in Vaeldom, it is literal physics: his magic acts as a Symmetrical Echo, automatically conjuring 100% pure, tranquil silence to counter and neutralise the discord of the enemy. He is a protector who doesn't lead by iron command, but by the fierce, protective warmth of his campfire cooking and an unbreakable devotion to those who share his road.

The Silver Frequency | The Empathic Echo

Finahymn (Fina)

“You are our wonder, our roots, our light, our anam.” At just twelve years old, Fina is the vibrant, windswept heart-beacon of the caravan. Carrying a sacred heritage he is only beginning to understand, Fina's rare silver eyes see the literal frequency of people's feelings and the historical echoes of ancient relics. His extreme sensory processing means he must constantly hum to "test" if his environment is safe, but when danger strikes, his courage is boundless. Wielding his Hymn-Sling and pocketful of Harmonic Stones, he shouts raw, vocalised triggers—like Teas! (Heat) or Reo! (Frost)—to physically warp the frequency of his ammunition mid-air. He is proof that the gentlest souls carry the most brilliant light.

The Orange Frequency | The Silent Protector

Raineer

“Each of those differences and the battles we face are what make us who we are.” Born with striking, snow-white hair, Raineer is the grounded, heavy-bass anchor of the party. Behind his sharp, soldier-trained reflexes and a devastating Whip of Starlight, Raineer carries a quiet, bone-deep weariness. To manage his internal imbalance, he carries three or four smooth river stones in his pocket, counting them rhythmically to stay grounded—a tactile stimming behaviour that mirrors the deep neurodiversity of the characters he shields. Raineer doesn't speak in grand, sweeping declarations; he shows his love through the comfort of warmth, a homemade stew, and a shared toast between friends.

The White Frequency | The Tactical Chronicler

Nisamira (Nisa)

“I write so the Notes are never forgotten.” A rogue scholar with shorter, wild metallic waves and razor-sharp emerald eyes, Nisamira represents pure, brilliant academic hyper-focus. Banished from the prestigious Axiomi’s Athenaeum for refusing to purge the forbidden history of the Vodeal Druids, she carries a massive, precious archive of banned scrolls on her back. Nisamira uses precise vocalised magic to manipulate the ancient vowels of reality. She is a fierce, brilliant strategist who views historical accuracy not just as an academic pursuit, but as the only chronicler strong enough to prevent the world's song from fading into the Great Silence.
